About

A small team, a steady promise.

Caring Hands Health Services was founded by direct-support professionals who believed the people closest to the work should shape it. Today we serve adults and youth across the Twin Cities metro with services designed around relationships, not roles.

Our story

Built by caregivers, for the people they care for.

We started with a simple observation: too many home care plans were built around shifts and tasks, not people. Families were tired of revolving staff, missed visits, and care that felt transactional.

So we built something different — a 245D agency where matching matters, continuity is the default, and the front-line voice carries weight in every decision. From our first client to our hundredth, that promise hasn't moved.

Today our team reflects the communities we serve: multilingual, culturally grounded, and committed to a Minnesota where everyone has the support they need to live the life they want.

What guides us

Three commitments we make every day.

Mission

Deliver compassionate, cost-efficient, comprehensive home care designed for each person's unique and ever-changing needs.

Vision

Be Minnesota's most trusted home and community-based provider — known for dedicated professionals and culturally responsive care.

Values

Person-centered. Culturally sensitive. Accountable. Community-focused. These promises shape every shift, every plan, every visit.

What "person-centered" means here

  • Dignity first. Choice, privacy, and consent are non-negotiable.
  • Steady presence. We staff for continuity — the same faces, week after week.
  • Honest plans. Goals belong to the person. We support, we don't direct.
  • Cultural respect. Language, food, faith, and family rhythms are part of the plan, not afterthoughts.
  • Family partnership. Families know their loved one best. We listen before we act.

Licensure & compliance

Caring Hands is licensed by the Minnesota Department of Human Services under chapter 245D. We participate in CADI, BI, DD, and CAC waivers and accept referrals through county case managers, families, and self-advocates.

Every staff member completes background studies, 245D-required orientation, the Minnesota Home Care Bill of Rights, the Vulnerable Adults Act, and our internal Fraud and Abuse policy before their first shift.

Your rights

Every person we serve is entitled to clear, written rights — and we put them in your hands on day one.

That includes the Minnesota Home Care Bill of Rights, our grievance process, and a named contact you can reach any time. Ask us for a copy at intake or anytime after.
